For tutors

• Can I use the platform if I don't want to list publicly?+

  Yes. Sign up, use class management (students, schedule, payments, notes) — it’s free + useful on its own. List later, or never. No hard feelings.
• How do I know the parents and students are real?+

  Every account is a real Clerk-authenticated email. Their display name + region show before you accept; their WhatsApp / email reveal only after you accept their enquiry. No drive-by anonymous messages.
• Do I have to publish my listing right away?+

  No. Publishing gates on a minimum (headline + at least one subject). The rest — bio, qualifications, résumé, photos — is optional polish you can add over time. You can publish or unpublish any time from your tutor settings.
• How do I get paid?+

  You set your rates. Parents and adult students pay you directly — PayNow, bank transfer, cash, whatever you both prefer. My Tutor never touches the money.
• Can I teach online only?+

  Yes. Set “Online” in your regions and pick “Online” under teaching mode in your listing. You’ll appear in online-only searches and parents/students who want online lessons will find you.
• How do feedback and progress notes work?+

  Add a student to your roster at /students. If their email matches an existing user, they’re linked automatically and your feedback appears on their dashboard. If not, you can still keep private notes and link them later.
• What's the verification badge?+

  A credentials review by us, coming soon — extra signal for parents/students. Until it’s live, your bio, qualifications and résumé do the work. There will be a small fee for the review when it launches.
